Santa Ana Artists Village

Have yet to venture into Santa Ana's own version of the super fun and free booze filled Art Walk which I have enjoyed in SF and LA. Looking forward to checking it out. At the very least get some free wine, feel smart and check out indie dudes with beards. Thats a wild night in my book.

Soul night @ Memphis

Tomorrow, Thurs 1/31, is Souled Out night at Memphis Cafe in Costa Mesa, sponsored by kJazz 88.1. DJs TSC1 and JV will mix "soul, funk and other rarities" starting at 10pm. Disorderly Conduct @ OCMA

Disorderly Conduct: Recent Art in Tumultuous Times is opening on Sat 2/02 at the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach. The show will feature "painting, video, and installation projects from local and international artists," according to the website (how vague is that?). Tickets are $10 (free for members) and goes from 8-10pm. There will be also be live performances by exhibiting artists. www.ocma.net

Kitsch Bar

Some people named John & Edwin are spinning Electro/Post Punk on Sat 2/02 at Kitsch Bar in Costa Mesa. I can't guarantee that the music will be good (but can post punk ever be bad?), but I've heard good things about the bar and it looks like a lovely place to get a drink. Persepolis

Persepolis is playing at Westpark 8 in Irvine and Mann Rancho Niguel in Laguna Niguel at least until next Thurs (they don't know the schedule beyond that). iCandy opening @ Cypress College
